Most online PDF mergers upload your documents to a server, which is a real privacy concern for contracts, invoices, ID documents, and anything confidential. This tool is different: your files are processed entirely inside your own browser using open-source PDF technology, and are never uploaded anywhere. Close the tab and nothing remains.
It's ideal for combining scanned pages into one document, joining invoices or receipts for a BAS or tax submission, assembling application paperwork (ID, payslips, bank statements) into a single file, or merging chapters of a report before sending. Page order is preserved exactly as you arrange it, and the original files on your computer are untouched.
The merged file keeps each page at its original size — mixing A4 and Letter pages is fine, the pages simply keep their own dimensions. Very large PDFs (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow on older phones since the work happens on your device. Password-protected PDFs can't be merged; remove the password first using the software that created the file.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The merging happens entirely in your browser on your own device using JavaScript. Your files are never transmitted anywhere, which makes this safe for confidential documents like contracts and ID paperwork.
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There's no fixed limit — you can add as many files as you like. The practical limit is your device's memory: merging very large files on an older phone may be slow. For most everyday documents it's near-instant.
Can I change the order of the files before merging?
Yes. After adding files, use the up and down arrows next to each file to arrange them. The merged PDF follows exactly the order shown in the list.
Why won't my password-protected PDF merge?
Encrypted PDFs can't be read without the password, so they can't be merged. Open the file in the app that created it, remove the password protection, save a copy, and merge that copy instead.
Does merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied into the new document without re-compression, so text stays sharp and images keep their original quality. The merged file size is roughly the sum of the originals.
