What file format does a circle crop download as?
PNG. A circular crop needs transparent corners outside the circle, and only PNG (not JPG) supports transparency — the tool exports PNG automatically.
Is this good for a profile picture?
Yes — most social platforms display profile photos as circles anyway by cropping them client-side, but this tool lets you choose exactly what's inside the circle and export a true circular PNG for platforms that accept transparency, presentations, or design work.
Can I crop several photos into circles at once?

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The circle crop is drawn entirely on your own device using your browser's canvas engine — the image is never transmitted anywhere.
How do I position the circle over a specific part of the photo, like a face?
Drag the circle anywhere on the image to reposition it, and use the Circle Size slider to make it bigger or smaller. The preview updates live so you can line it up exactly over a face or logo before exporting.
Will the circle PNG have a white background instead of transparent?
No — the area outside the circle is fully transparent by default, shown as a checkerboard pattern in the preview. If you need a solid background behind the circle instead, add one afterwards in whatever app you're placing the image into.
Can I download, print or email the circle-cropped image?
Yes — Download saves the transparent PNG, Print opens it in a print-ready tab (from which you can also choose Save as PDF — note it will print on a white page since the background is transparent), and Email sends it via your device's share sheet where supported, or your mail app with a reminder to attach the downloaded file.
