Crop any image by dragging a selection — free, precise, and processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
JPG, PNG, and WebP supported
Resizing changes the whole image's dimensions; cropping removes parts of it. Crop when you want to cut distractions from the edges of a photo, isolate one item from a screenshot, straighten up a document photo, or turn a landscape shot into a square for a profile picture. The pixel dimensions of your selection show live as you drag, so you can hit an exact size when a form or website demands one.
The crop is taken from the full-resolution original, not the preview — so even though the preview is scaled to fit your screen, the downloaded crop keeps maximum quality. And as with every tool on this site, your image is processed on your own device and never uploaded.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes — drag your finger on the image to make the selection. The canvas supports touch as well as mouse input.
Is the cropped image lower quality than the original?
No. The crop is cut from the original full-resolution image, not from the on-screen preview, so the kept area retains its original pixels exactly (JPG output applies light, high-quality compression).
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
The selection's live dimensions display in green as you drag, so you can adjust until you hit the exact size you need before clicking Crop.
JPG or PNG for the output?
JPG for photos — much smaller files. PNG if the image has transparency or sharp graphics like text and screenshots that must stay pixel-perfect.
Is my image private?
Completely. The image never leaves your device — the selection and crop all happen locally in your browser.
