Plenty of official forms — job applications, government paperwork, tenancy agreements — are distributed as fillable PDFs. Printing, hand-writing, and scanning them back is slower and messier than typing directly into the file. This tool reads the actual interactive fields already built into the PDF and lets you complete them right in the browser, no PDF software to install.

Many official PDFs are built with an AcroForm — a set of interactive fields defined inside the file itself, the same technology Adobe Acrobat uses. This tool reads that structure directly, automatically builds a matching input for every field it finds (a text box for text fields, a checkbox for checkboxes, and so on), and writes your answers back into those exact fields when you download.
If a PDF has no such fields — common with scanned documents or forms that were just designed to look fillable — there's nothing for this tool (or any similar one) to detect automatically.

What kind of PDF does this work on?
Any PDF that already contains fillable AcroForm fields — text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns, or radio buttons. If your PDF has no interactive fields, there's nothing for this tool to detect; use PDF Form Creator to add fields first, or our PDF Editor to type text directly onto the page.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The form fields are read and filled entirely inside your browser using pdf-lib — the file is never transmitted anywhere.
Can I fill out a PDF form on my phone?
Yes — open this page in your phone's browser, upload the form, fill in the fields that appear, and download. Works the same on iPhone and Android.
Can I save the result so it's still editable later?
Yes — by default the download stays fillable, so you (or anyone else) can open it and change the values again. Tick "Flatten after filling" if you want to lock the values in permanently instead.
Why don't I see any fields to fill in?
This means the PDF doesn't have interactive AcroForm fields — it might just look like a form visually (printed lines and boxes) without being a true fillable PDF. Scanned forms and many older PDFs fall into this category and can't be auto-detected this way.
Does this support checkboxes and dropdowns, or just text fields?
All of them — text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, and radio button groups are each detected and shown with the right kind of input.
